WILL NETANYAHU BE ABLE TO FORM A COALITION?

According to Kan, about a third of the public believe Netanyahu should resign.

The Likud suffered a blow in the polls and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu won’t be able to form a coalition after the elections, according to a Kan news poll published on Friday.

Following the Attorney-General Avichai Mandelblit’s announcement that he intends to indict Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday, one of the main questions yet to be answered was how big of an impact that announcement would have on Netanyahu in the upcoming elections.

The first post-announcement polls were published, showing that the Likud dropped to 29 seats, coming in second after the Blue and White party headed by Benny Gantz and Yair Lapid, expected to win 37 Knesset seats.

The right-wing bloc is losing votes due to three of their parties not passing the threshold.

Labor, Meretz and Shas all sit together at 6 seats a piece. Bayit Yehudi is predicted to earn 5 seats total.
