Top Iranian nuclear negotiator warns Islamic Republic may quit talks

Iran’s top nuclear negotiator warned Monday that the Islamic Republic would quit talks with the United States and five other world powers if they feel that the Western states are trying to impose their will on Tehran.

Abbas Araqchi made the comments in an interview with Iranian media a day after a two hour meeting between Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and US Secretary of State John Kerry on Sunday failed to lead to any agreements.

Araqchi said that Iran would not succumb to pressure and agree to a deal that would not be a “win win situation” in the interest of both sides before the March 31 deadline.
