Tel Aviv municipality morphs into giant rainbow flag for Gay Pride Month

Rabin Square will glow with pride every night this week in the lead up to Tel Aviv’s 16th annual Pride Parade. Rainbow-colored LED light bulbs now decorate the city’s municipality building, in light of Gay Pride Month.

Celebrations will be held this year under the banner, “Tel Aviv marches for equality.”

On June 13, starting at 10:00 a.m at Gan Meir, a record-breaking number of people — estimates are that 130,000 people will attend Gay Pride events in Tel Aviv this month — will parade through major streets across the city towards the beachfront Charles Clore Park, in solidarity with the LGBT movement.
