Poll: Israelis Believe Next US President Will Be Better Than Obama

A poll taken by TNS shows 51 percent of Israelis believe the next US president will be better for Israel than Obama.

According to the poll, taken by TNS Company for Israeli Channel 1, 51 percent of Israelis believe that the next president of the US, regardless of what candidate wins, will be better for Israel than President Barack Obama. The poll was broadcasted by Channel 1 Sunday night.
According to the poll results, 26 percent of Israelis believe that there will be no change, while 15% said they do not know. Only 8 percent believe that the next US president will be worse for Israel than Barack Obama.

Obama’s support in Israel has been low throughout his presidency. Only 4 percent believe his administration was more pro-Israel than pro-Palestine, according to a 2009 poll. Apparently, Palestinians do not share the same sentiment, since, according to WIN/Gallup international poll, Israel displayed fifth lowest support for Obama among 64 countries, with Russia, the Palestinian Authority, Pakistan and Armenia leading the chart.
