Israeli lightly injured in West Bank shooting attack

An Israeli was lightly injured in a drive-by shooting attack near the West Bank settlement of Halamish, northwest of Ramallah, early Tuesday morning.

The injured man was treated at the scene and later evacuated to Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer, according to United Hatzalah.

A search for the terrorist, who fled the scene, was underway in the early morning hours. Security forces found an abandoned vehicle that the terrorist is suspected to have used.

The incident occurred only days after fire was opened on an Israeli vehicle in the Palestinian village of Deir Abu Maash’al near Ramallah, last Wednesday.
