Crenshaw: Green New Deal a ‘Third- Science Project’

The Green New Deal championed by Sen. Bernie Sanders, the front-runner for the Democrats’ presidential nominee, and other Democrats is “more of a third-grade science project” than a serious plan, Rep. Dan Crenshaw said Friday.

“From a policy perspective, the Green New Deal is not an actual proposal,” the Texas Republican told Fox News’ “Fox and Friends.” “There is no actual plan in the Green New Deal. It just says, ‘Everything is going to be wind and solar and we’re going to get rid of airplanes and cows.’ That’s not a plan. That’s not a serious proposal.”

Sanders tweeted Thursday that he makes no apologies for proposing the Green New Deal, and Crenshaw shot back to him that he didn’t vote for the proposal when it came to the Senate floor, and calling it a “third-grade science project.”
