Conservatives say the Supreme Court made the right move in temporarily halting a U.S. District judge’s order that would have required a high school in Gloucester County, Va., to allow a biological female who identifies as a male to use the boy’s bathroom.
“We are certainly pleased that SCOTUS showed some restraint by delaying this matter until the high court can hear the case,” Ed Vitagliano, executive vice president of the American Family Association told CNSNews.com. “However, the end result of the matter will no doubt disappoint those who believe humanity is a binary race – male and female.
“Because of the current ideological make-up of the Supreme Court justices, a decision on this issue is likely to yield either a 5-3 ruling in favor of gender anarchy or a 4-4 tie, leaving the lower court travesty in place,” Vitagliano said.
