Church in Las Vegas celebrates ‘World Religion Day’

A church in the Las Vegas celebrated “World Religion Day” on Jan. 20. The day is observed once a year, worldwide on the third Sunday of January.

Many faith communities gathered at The Baha’is of Las Vegas. The local event included prayers from various religions, music, and discussions about commonalities in scripture.

Worshipers told 13 Action News, religions can play a role in unifying humanity. “The world needs a message of peace and reconciliation and the understanding that we are all really one family,” said Aleda Nelson.
