Nations joining the United Nations agreed to be bound by its charter and to submit to decisions taken by the world governing body. Every nation on earth is now a member of the UN except for Taiwan.
The original stated purpose of the UN was to prevent war. However, overtime the United Nations has developed a system of international law that is more and more moving the world into a system of world government.
Would a world government be a good thing or a bad thing? We’ll talk about it on today’s edition of End of the Age.
