Will You Make the Rapture?

What will happen at the rapture?

Will you go up in the rapture? This is the most important question in every one of our lives! The success of every life turns on this one event. If your feet leave the ground when the rapture occurs, your life was a smashing success. If your feet don’t leave the ground, you were a miserable and total failure!

Dead in Christ raise first

13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring (forth) with him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent (precede) them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 (KJV)

Changed from mortal to immortal

51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

1 Corinthians 15:51-55 (KJV)

Two Witnesses

7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.
10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
11 And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.

Revelation 11:7-12 (KJV)

What To Do To Be Ready For The Rapture

You must be Born Again

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

John 3:3 (KJV)

If the same spirit that raised Christ from the dead…

But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

Romans 8:11 (KJV)

How can we receive the spirit?

1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Acts 2:1-4 (KJV)

I find the Revelation of Jesus Christ and the end times fascinating. In you discussion you state the rapture will happen at the end of time, when Jesus comes back on the Mount of Zion with the 144,000 (Chapter 14). However, in Corr. the word talks about the one left in the field and at the women working….if the seals are broken, the trumpet sounds, and all of God’s wrath is poor out onto the earth before the end, do you really think people will be working in the field when one-third of the population has been destroyed, the oceans polluted, etc. Seems to me the rapture would occur just before Chapter 13 when the anti-Christ is revealed.

      Hello Larry,

A popular belief is that the rapture and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ are two separate events divided by the duration of the tribulation. On the contrary, the Bible shows us just the opposite. Jesus said in Matthew 24:29-31, “Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” According to Jesus, when He returns after the tribulation, He is also going to gather His elect, the church, at that time. The apostle Paul addressed this on several occasions in his epistles. In 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 he spoke of the rapture taking place as the Lord descended from heaven. Many argue Jesus simply returns to the sky and turns right around; however, the Bible does not support this. A belief like this would force us to believe in a two phase return of Christ, which is not Biblical. Paul again in 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 addresses the church concerning the coming of our Lord and our gathering together unto Him. Paul continues to refer to these events as the day of Christ. Apparently Paul believed and understood the rapture took place at the Second Coming. Also when addressing the resurrection in 1 Corinthians 15, Paul spoke of the resurrection of those that are Christ’s at His coming in 1 Corinthians 15:23. Knowing there is only one more coming of Christ, the Second Coming, we must agree the rapture will take place at that time.

  2. Irvin I am so surprised at the definition you gave the caller inquiring about New Jerusalem. The Bible description is too vividly descriptive of organic substance to be only spiritual. Is it not possible to be both organic and spiritual? Are we not spiritual as well as flesh and blood? The Bible even expounds on the actual dimensions of the city, as well as the precious jewel stones used for the foundation. I find the description very befitting the reigning and dwelling place of our Lord. Besides, have you thought about what a city is? A functioning city has occupants, right? Is it really a city without occupants? Or is it a ghost town?

I enjoy your teaching and agree on most. But please reconsider this beautiful city as the actual New Jerusalem 0ccupied by true believers and Lord God Almighty and the Lamb being planted on God’s favorite piece of earthly real estate and welcoming the nations of them which are saved to walk in the light of it and the kings of the earth to bring their glory and honor into it.

And regarding signs and wonders of last days, I’m ready for some. If anyone reading this is blessed with healing gift or answers to prayer, please pray for me and family. We are going through trial. I am tediously typing with one hand and having to make many corrections. I have lost function in left hand/arm and beginning loss in right hand/arm. I have nerve twitches/tremors all over called “fasiculations”. I am losing speaking ability. I received diagnosis only ten days ago of ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig Disease. A terrible wasting away disease, some slow progression, some fast. The saddest part is that when my body expires, I will be leaving behind a wonderfully sweet innocent physically and mentally adult bed-bound developmentally disabled son whom doctors are amazed how he has survived and emotionally thrived for so long.

  3. In the Bible it says in those days when Jesus comes to rain on Earth as king of kings and Lord of lords that if you hear a person dying of the age of 100 that would be considered a baby when we’re here raining with Jesus on Earth 1,000 years there will be dying still he will be separating the wheat from the thorns in those days after the Thousand Years he will turn it back to the father and then we will be changed in a twinkling of an eye

The scripture that states that people will be marrying, drinking, etc at the end of times – I thought the last 3 1/2 years are going to be miserable so it seems that people won’t be in a happy condition? Seems contradictory?
Also, after the rapture – those left behind will then go through the millennial years. Will they get a chance to trust Jesus? Thank you for answering these questions, Pat
