The air is filled with music about the coming of Jesus to the earth 2,000 years ago. Why was His coming such a big event? Why did the coming of a humble carpenter start the largest religious movement on earth today?
Do you understand the real significance of the birth of Jesus Christ?

Mr Baxter, what is your understanding about the 25th December? Do you think it was the birth of Jesus? do you think that day should be celebrated? do you think we should also have Christmas trees, give out presents , take pictures with Santa and wear Christmas customs on that day? should we as the children of God celebrate that day and sing Christmas songs and rejoice on that day?

As Christians we do not believe it is wrong to celebrate Christmas. It is a celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. The Bible does not say it is right or wrong to do this. However the Bible does encourage us to worship the Lord. Through remembering the birth of Jesus Christ, we recall the life and sacrifice of Jesus Christ which paved the way for salvation.

Also just because something was once celebrated in a wrong way does not mean that it cannot be celebrated correctly. If Christmas was once a pagan holiday it is not a pagan holiday when you worship Jesus Christ on that day. Just because people have used cars for bad does not mean that Christians should not drive cars. We as Christians do not worship Christmas but rather Jesus.

Some people bring passages in Jeremiah talking about a tree but that does not refer to a Christmas tree. If you will read the context of the passage you will understand that the trees were used to create an idol that people could worship. Christians do not worship Christmas trees or idols made from trees. The decorations were also a part of the idol that was constructed from the tree. If we reason that we should not use decorations on a Christmas tree then we must use the same reason in regards to all decorations. If a single decoration exists in your home then you would be in violation of this passage by that interpretation. So in conclusion, that is not what the passage is referring to.

Christmas is a time where Christians can ultimately remember the great price that God paid for us all, they can give to one another, they can come together, they can fellowship with one another, and they can sing about our Lord. The Bible does not speak against these things.

The celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ is everyday for Christians because we live and follow He’s will everyday of our lives in holiness and in righteousness. The apostles and the prophets never celebrated Christmas, in fact no child of God in the bible ever celebrated Christmas in the bible and what is done on that day is not according to the tradition of God but of men. Santa Claus is not even real yet they say he knows everything and he knows whether you have been good or bad and by saying that, they make him equal to God because also God knows everything. Christmas is paganism because what is done on that day is still not off God but of men, does the idea of Santa Claus come from God? does the idea of decorations of trees come from God? Israels and Jews never even celebrated those days, even the former church never celebrated those days. Since we all know that the birth of Jesus was not on the 25th of December, why do we still celebrate that day and follow after the customs of men? Pagan rituals are still performed on that day because Santa Claus and the Christmas tree still comes from the Pagans, they just changed that day and called it the birth of Jesus to blind many. How can we let out children believe in a lie and also promote that lie as Christians? See the definition of Santa Claus: Santa Claus, also known as Father Christmas, Saint Nicholas, Saint Nick, Kris Kringle, or simply Santa, is a fictional figure originating in Western Christian culture who is said to bring gifts to the homes of well-behaved children on the night of Christmas Eve or during the early morning hours of Christmas Day

            Edited.
The celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ is every day for Christians because we live and follow He’s will everyday of our lives in holiness and in righteousness. According to the bible his birth was a salvation plan that God has prepared for his children, so we live Like Christ and follow his message every day, his birth is in us every day, we don’t need to change a pagan holiday and call it his birth, only the devil is cable of doing such, why the 25th of December? Why change a pagan ritual and turn it into a Christian celebration? The bible speak against the tradition and customs of men, that they are vain and we shouldn’t follow them as the children of God. The apostles and the prophets never celebrated Christmas, in fact no child of God in the bible ever celebrated Christmas and what is done on that day is not according to the will of God but of men. Santa Claus is not even real yet they say he knows everything and he knows whether you have been good or bad and by saying that, they make him equal to God because only God knows everything. Christmas is paganism and it’s not different from Halloween because what is done on that day is still not from God but from men, does the idea of Santa Claus come from God? does the idea of Christmas trees come from God? Israels and Jews never even celebrated those days, even the former church never celebrated those days. Since we all know that the birth of Jesus was not on the 25th of December, why do we still celebrate that day and follow after the customs of men? Pagan rituals are still performed on that day because Santa Claus and the Christmas tree still come from the Pagans, they just changed that day and called it the birth of Jesus to blind many and made it seem good. Christmas in indoctrination and one of the old lies that the Roman Catholic church has spread into the world, it’s deceitful of misleading, Christ and Santa Claus have nothing in common, the celebration seem nice and makes one feel well inside but it’s nothing but a lie. How can we let our children believe a lie and also promote that lie as Christians? See the definition of Santa Claus: “Santa Claus, also known as Father Christmas, Saint Nicholas, Saint Nick, Kris Kringle, or simply Santa, is a fictional figure originating in Western Christian culture who is said to bring gifts to the homes of well-behaved children on the night of Christmas Eve or during the early morning hours of Christmas Day”. Please make a proper research about Christmas, where it comes from, why does that day have so much influence in our community, why is it on our calendar and why is it celebrated as the birth of Jesus today.

          • I agree with you. And it’s because many follow traditions over truth. I used to celebrate Christmas and before I had my daughter I stopped and dont put one day above another. You can imagine what my family thought. If they wanted to continue Christmas and all was fine but for me and my family we discontinued. It’s a very hard stand to make when everyone around continues to push the other way.
