God’s Covenant with Abraham

May 6, 2020   |   Category: End of the Age   |

God promised the land of Israel to the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The battle over possession of this land is still raging today, 4,000 years later. It will continue until the Battle of Armageddon when Jesus will return to earth and settle the issue once and for all.

One cautionary note. You say that when the “Trump Peace Plan” (TPP) is implemented/signed into effect it WILL begin the Daniel 9:27 final 7-year timeline to Armageddon. Maybe. BUT – the prophecy says, basically, the Antichrist will confirm covenant FOR 7 YEARS. IF the TPP is NOT structured as a 7-year agreement then it might NOT embody the fulfillment of that prophecy. ??? I don’t know. I am wary. It’s likely the Palestinians will NOT accept the currently proposed resolution of east/west Jerusalem. After all, as written, Israel, their worst enemy, would OWN and exert much control over their capital city. Wierd!!?? “No Way” they might say (and do say). Understandable. Maybe the only resolution might be, make Jerusalem an international city – entirely controlled by an outside entity, say, UN, pope, nation consortium, or other external party. That might work but is so novel, complicated, it may not be agreed permanently – BUT – how about trying as an INTERIM solution, for limited time – maybe 7 years ?? Now THAT would constitute a perfect Daniel 9:27 fulfillment. I would be swayed.

The following scripturaly proves Jesus is much more than just the Son of God:
In the Old Testament, Deuteronomy 6:4 says, “Hear O Israel: the Lord our God is ONE Lord.”

In the New Testament, Jesus said in John 10:30, “I and my Father are ONE.”

Jesus said in John 17:21, “That they all may be one, as thou art in ME, and I in YOU, that they also may be one in us, that the world may believe that you have sent me.”

Matthew 26:15 states that Judas Iscariot (the disciple that betrayed Jesus),“What will you give me if I will deliver him to you? And they (the Chief Priests) weighed out 30 pieces of silver.”

Note back in Zechariah 11:12,“And I said unto them, If you think good, give ME my price and if not forbear. So they weighed for my price 30 pieces of silver.”

Note that is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob talking about HIMSELF after He became a MAN and before He was crucified.

It says in John 19:34, “But one of the Soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came out blood and water. “Note back in Zechariah 12:10, “….and they shall look upon ME whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him…”

Also in Zechariah 13:6, “And one shall say to him (Jesus), What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those are which I was wounded in the house of my friends.”

Psalms 22:16, “For dogs have compassed me, the assembly of the wicked have enclosed me, they pierced my hands and my feet.”

Also in the Old Testament – Isaiah 53:5, “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our piece was upon him, and with his stripes we are healed.” Note that is the FATHER of the Old Testament referring to HIMSELF as He was hanging on the cross.

Mark 15:24, “And when they had crucified him, they parted his garments, casting lots for them, what every man should take.” Note back in Psalms 22:18, “They part my garments among them and cast lots upon my vesture.” Note that is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob referring to HIMSELF as He was hanging on the cross.

John 19:29, “Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar, and they filled a sponge with vinegar and put it on a hyssop, and put it to his mouth.” Note back in Psalms 69:21 it says, “They gave ME also gall for my meat and in my thirst they gave ME vinegar to drink.”

Jesus said in John 5:39, “Search the scriptures for in them you think you have eternal life, and they are they which testify of ME.” Jesus is referring to the scriptures in the Old Testament which are referring to HIMSELF before he took on flesh and became a man.

Paul said in Galatians 1:12 that he was not taught by any man but was taught directly by Jesus himself, which means that whatever Paul did or said was exactly what Jesus told him to say. Paul said in Hebrews 1:8, “But unto the SON he saith, Thy throne O GOD is forever and ever.”

Jesus said in John 12:44-45, “He that believes on me believes not on me, BUT ON HIM THAT SENT ME. 45 And he that sees ME SEES HIM THAT SENT ME.”

John 14:8-10, “Philip said to Jesus, Lord, show us the Father and it will satisfy us. 9 Jesus said unto him, Have I been so long a time with you and yet you have not known me Philip? He that has seen me HAS SEEN THE FATHER, and how do you say now, show us the Father?” 10 Believe thou not that I am in the Father and the Father in me? The words I speak unto you I speak not of myself, but the Father that DWELLS IN ME – HE DOES THE WORKS.”

Jesus said in John 14:28, “….for my Father is greater than I.” In other words, that paragraph is saying that the flesh and blood man Jesus did not heal the sick or raise the dead – the FATHER which dwelt INSIDE Him did those works, which He and the Father are ONE, which explains why Jesus said the Father is greater than he is.

Paul said in 2 Corinthians 5:19, “To wit that God was IN Christ, reconciling the world unto HIMSELF.”

Paul said in Colossians 2:8-10, “Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 9 For in HIM dwells all the fullness of the GODHEAD bodily. 10 And you are complete in HIM (Jesus), which is the head of all principality and power.” Jesus is not just part of the Godhead – JESUS IS THE GODHEAD.

Paul said in Philippians 2:5-6, “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who being in the FORM OF GOD, thought it not robbery to be EQUAL with God.”

Matthew 1:23, “Behold, a virgin shall be with child and shall bring forth a SON, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is GOD WITH US.”

Isaiah 9:6, “For unto us a CHILD is born, unto us a SON (Jesus) is given, and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his NAME shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, THE MIGHTY GOD, the EVERLASTING FATHER, the Prince of Peace.“

Jesus said in John 5:43, “I am come in my FATHER’S NAME and you receive me not, if another shall come in his own name, him you will receive.”

Jesus said to Thomas in John 20:27-29, “Reach thou finger and behold my hands, and reach hither your hand, and thrust it into my side, and be not faithless, but believing. 28 And Thomas said unto him, MY LORD AND MY GOD. 29 Jesus said to him, Thomas, because you have seen me you have believed, blessed are those that have not seen and yet have believed.”

John 1:1, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word WAS GOD.” Then 10 verses later it says in John 1:10, “He was in the world and the WORLD WAS MADE BY HIM, and the world knew him not.”

Verse 14 says, “And the Word was made FLESH (Jesus) and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”

Note that John 4:24 says, “God is a Spirit and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” And that the above says the WORD was GOD, the SPIRIT is GOD, and became FLESH and dwelt among us.

Jesus said in Matthew 23:37, “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you that killed the prophets and stoned them which are sent unto you, how often would I have gathered your children together even as a hen gathered chickens under her wings, and you would not listen!” That is a very interesting scripture because Jesus is speaking as the flesh and blood man he was at that time but ALSO speaking as the FATHER (they are ONE) and referring to a time long before Jesus was born.

Also note what Jesus said in John 8:58, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, before Abraham was, I AM. “

Paul said in the following verses in Titus:

Titus 1:3, “But (God) hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of GOD OUR SAVIOR.”

Titus 2:10, “Not purloining but shewing all good fidelity, that they may adorn the doctrine of GOD OUR SAVIOR in all things.”

Titus 2:13, “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great GOD AND OUR SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.”

Titus 3:4, “But after that the kindness and love of GOD OUR SAVIOR toward man appeared.”

Titus 3:6, “Which he shed on us abundantly through JESUS CHRIST OUR SAVIOR.”

Note that back in Isaiah 43:11, God said, “I, even I, am the Lord, and beside me there is no Savior.” Also in Isaiah 44:6, “Thus saith the Lord the King Of Israel, and his redeemer the Lord of Hosts: I am the first, and I am the last, and besides me there is no God.”

The scriptures above and in Titus prove that the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob – the Father

of the Old Testament, is also Jesus Christ – the God and Savior in the New Testament.

Jude 1:25, “To the only wise GOD OUR SAVIOR be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever.”

Note that all the scriptures above say the Father was IN Jesus, that He was IN Jesus doing the Works, and that He was IN Jesus when Jesus was praying to the Father in the Garden of Gethsemane, (Matthew 26:39-42, Mark 14:36, Luke 22:42) and that Jesus Christ and the Father ARE ONE.

Acts 20:28, “Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over which the HOLY GHOST has made you overseers to feed the church of God, which he purchased with his own blood.” Note that is saying the HOLY GHOST purchased with HIS OWN BLOOD, which is revealing who the Holy Ghost really is – which is Jesus.

Paul said in 1 Timothy 3:16, “And without controversy great is the mystery of Godliness, GOD was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, and received up into glory.” That scripture is referring to Jesus Christ.

As stated in this document, Paul made many statements as to who Jesus really is, and he said in Galatians 1:8-9, “But though we or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. “Paul was so adamant about that, that he said the same thing in verse 9, “As we have said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that you have received, let him be accursed.”

Jesus said in Matthew 18:18, “Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatsoever you shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” Jesus is speaking there to ALL of his disciples.

In the book of Revelation, all of the following is Jesus speaking:

Rev. 1:8, “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which is to come, the ALMIGHTY.”

Rev. 1:17-18, “And when I saw him (John speaking) I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not, I am the first and the last. 18 I am he that lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive for evermore. Amen, and have the keys of hell and of death.”

Rev. 2:7, “He that has an ear, let him hear what the SPIRIT says unto the Churches….”

Rev. 2:8, “And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write – These things says the first and the last, which was dead and is alive.”

Rev. 2:11, “He that has an ear let him hear what the SPIRIT says unto the Churches….”

Rev. 21:6-7, “And he said unto me, (John), It is done, I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the waters of life freely. 7 He that overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his GOD, and he shall be my son.”

Until the man Christ Jesus was born, God was a Spirit. When Jesus was born, God became both Spirit and body. This did not mean there were now 2 Gods. All of us are spirit and body but we are not 2 people. We are ONE person with spirit and one body. When God made himself a body through the Virgin Mary, he did not become 2 separate Gods. He was Almighty God and He was also the Messiah – Emmanuel – GOD WITH US.

All the scriptures above prove the ONENESS of God. There definitely is a Father, Son, and Holy Ghost – but they are ONE God manifesting himself in three different offices and not 3 Gods that are separate of each other, which is what the Trinitarians teach.

We get the Father in the Name Jesus, we get the Son in the Name Jesus, and we get the Holy Ghost/Holy Spirit in the Name Jesus, which is why every time water Baptism was done in the Name Jesus, or in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, meaning Jesus name was said at baptism, which is Acts 2:38, Acts 8:14-18, Acts 9:18, Acts 10:47-48, Acts 16:15, Acts 16:33, Acts 18:7-8, Acts 19:3-5, and Acts 22:16. At no time did Jesus disciples use any combination of the words Father, Son, and Holy Ghost when they baptized anyone, or use a combination of those words in one sentence regarding any other topic.

There is only one gospel that Jesus and his disciples preached and that is repentance, water baptism in Jesus name for the remission of sins, and being baptized with the Holy Ghost/Holy Spirit – which is addressed in Acts 2:3-4 (Pentecost), Acts 8:17, Acts 9:18, Acts 10:44-48, which is exactly what Jesus meant in John 3:3-7,”Verily, verily I say unto you, Except a man be born again, he can not see the kingdom of God. 5 Verily, verily I say unto you, Except a man be born of water AND of the Spirit, he can not enter into the kingdom God. 7 Marvel not that I said unto you, YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN.” Being born of water is being totally immersed in water in Jesus name, being born of the Spirit is being baptized with the Holy Ghost/Holy Spirit.
