Scary Lion! Not For Long

An absolute crazy amount of time is spent every day watching videos on YouTube. Sometimes you can’t help but be captivated by the videos because some people capture the most bizarre occurrences.  I saw a video not too long ago of a toddler at the zoo.  The toddler was sitting against the glass of the lion exhibit and a lion is trying with all of its might to eat this baby!  Since no one was harmed in the making of that film I can safely say, that was awesome!  Either the lion was deprived of food or the child smelled like lion food, which probably isn’t a good thing.  I’ve never seen anything like that and I’m the type of person who would purposely stay close to the glass if a lion wanted to eat me just because that’s sweet.  Unfortunately I don’t go to the zoo often because it smells awful and someday soon lions won’t try to eat us anymore.

 

When God created the world, He made it perfect.  I know some people like to say God didn’t create the earth but let me nail it down for you.  Either God made the earth or there was a random Big Bang that gave us the earth which would be nothing short of a miracle, which happens to be a specialty of God’s.  So as I was saying, God made things perfect just the way He wanted it.  Man had dominion over the animals and Adam actually named them all.  Sadly, Adam sinned and ruined the perfect world for us.  However, God saw it fit to give us a chance to once again obtain that perfect world, so He came to earth, lived, died, and rose again to give us an opportunity to live in harmony with Him.  This opportunity will be granted to us during the Millennium.  That is the time when Jesus will live on the earth for one thousand years and there will be total peace.  There will be no war on the earth for one thousand years and animals will live peaceably amongst humans.  The Bible says in Isaiah 11:6-8 (ESV), “The wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the young goat, and the calf and the lion and the fattened calf together; and a little child shall lead them. The cow and the bear shall graze; their young shall lie down together; and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. The nursing child shall play over the hole of the cobra, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the adder’s den.”  Can you even fathom that?  I saw a lion try to eat a kid through the glass at the zoo and the Bible is telling us children will lead these animals and not be hurt by them.  That’s crazier than the video we discussed!  The lion eating straw like the ox is humorous though; that would be a sissy lion in today’s jungle.  Besides that, a time is coming when there will be absolute peace on earth.  If you want to be a part of it, Jesus led the way so follow Him and you’ll make it.  You may even have a pet lion or something.  Pretty sweet gig if you ask me.
