We all know that in preparing for the New Year we start thinking of ways to better ourselves for the future. Maybe a weight loss program, a list of books to read, a better schedule…but the most important resolution that you can make in 2017 is for your eternal being. You can do this by becoming a partaker of the divine nature of God. When we are born again, we are spiritual babes. We then begin our journey toward becoming like Jesus Christ.

II Peter 1:4 states that we are given “…exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature…” Think of it! According to this scripture, you and I can actually be partakers of God’s nature!

Eternal Security

The passage states it is by the “exceeding great and precious promises” that we can acquire the nature of God. So, what are these promises, and how can they enable you and me to become like Jesus Christ? We have created a 13 hour series detailing each of these keys called Keys to Spiritual Growth.

II Peter 1:10 states: “Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall.” If you unlock these keys and apply them to your life, you have a promise that you will never fall. God has given us solid steps in His Word to give us eternal security.
