What the Bible Says About Studying the Word of God

God calls us to study His word, granting us the wisdom to see what is to come and the guidance to walk the path to eternal life. Studying the word of God is the key to unlocking the mysteries of the end time prophecies in the Books of Daniel and Revelation.

To know God, we must know His word. To understand what is to come, we must learn from Scripture and study the prophecies God has given us. Everything we need to know about the end times and our role as Christians is contained within those precious verses. Studying the word of God is the single most important thing you can do to strengthen your faith and guide your future path as more biblical prophecies are fulfilled in current events.

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. (II Timothy 3:16-17)

There is so much we can learn from the Bible — virtually every question of morals and doctrine can be answered by Scripture. As II Timothy states, all Scripture is profitable in equipping us for life. When we start looking specifically at prophecy, two books stand out to help us understand the end time. The Books of Daniel and Revelation, when studied thoroughly with earnest prayers, lay out God’s plan for His people.

It All Starts in Daniel

When following a roadmap to studying and understanding the end time, Daniel is the foundation upon which much of biblical prophecy is built. Through Daniel’s visions, we discover important clues about the modern nations that will take part in the events leading up to the end time. From biblical prophecy, we know that these events will be triggered by a peace agreement in the Middle East, which is currently in negotiations, beginning the Final Seven Years leading up to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

It Is Revealed in Revelation

The second of the two most important prophetic books in the Bible, Revelation details John’s visions of the future. We learn about the seven seals to be opened, the seven trumpets to be sounded, and the imminent reign of the Antichrist and the False Prophet. This can be a confusing book to read because of the intensity of his visions, but remember that in living through the end time, and being born again in Christ, we can achieve eternal life.

Consider these words in Revelation 1:3 to understand the importance of studying the Bible in preparing for the end time:

Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.

God wants us to read, understand, and believe, giving us the blessing of His love and the promise of eternal life if we are open to hearing what He has to say.

Studying the word of God not only brings us closer to Him, but also increases our understanding of the end time, giving us a timeline and reference for our future on Earth and in Heaven. One of the key components of our mission here at Endtime Ministries is holding prophecy conferences and Endtime Bible studies across the country to spread the word about God. We invite you to either attend or host an event of your own. Bring your friends, family, and communities together and help us spread the news!
