1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 Does Not Say the Lord Touches the Earth, So This isn’t This Just the Rapture?

When studying God’s word we cannot think a single verse means something completely different since it does not include every little detail. We have to take all scripture into account. Just like you can’t look at a piece of a puzzle and tell exactly what it is. You have to put everything together to get the full picture. 1 Thessalonians 4:16 clearly says that the Lord descends from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God. Another depiction of the rapture in 1 Corinthians 15:51-53 says that the rapture takes place at the last trump. Matthew 24:29-31 shows that God sends his angel with a great sound of a trumpet to gather together his elect. So the common theme hear is this happens at the sounding of a trumpet but it’s not just any trumpet. From these scripture we see that it is the last trump of God. Revelation 11:15 records the seventh and last trumpet sounding. When this happens we read that “the kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.” So this is obviously when the Lord returns. Some still argue and say that the seventh trumpet is an angel’s trumpet and not God’s. In Revelation 8:2 we find seven angels standing before God and that trumpets were given to them. If only seven angels and God were there and the angels each received a trumpet then they had to have come from God. So the seventh trumpet in Revelation 11:15 is the last trump of God spoke of in 1 Corinthians 15 and 1 Thessalonians 4.
