Is Pope Francis the False Prophet?

Question: Peggy from Mississippi called Irvin and asked, “Do you think the False Prophet is the current Pope or another Pope?”

 

Answer:  There is a lot of buzz around this new pope, Pope Francis, because he is turning everything upside down in the Roman Catholic Church. He’s made statements saying if athiests are doing good works, who is he to say that they won’t be saved. He’s also gone as far as saying if homosexuals love God, who is he to condemn them? We know that whoever is pope at the time of the Antichrist will be the False Prophet, the only question is, is it this pope? Francis is not very young, he’s around 77 years old or so. We know that the there is going to be a peace agreement in Israel and then the final 7 years will begin. Well, the pope’s main participation as the false prophet will be during the final 3 ½ years so the earliest that it could start will be 4 years from now at which Pope Francis will be 80 years of age. He is certainly qualified as the False Prophet but the question will be is he too old? I unfortunately cannot tell you if he is the False Prophet.
