What will the world look like? What should America do?

What will the world look like the day after two billion human beings die? How do you bury two billion people? Most likely, the only choice will be mass graves dug by bulldozers. Sensitivities aside, it will be critical to bury the dead quickly in order to prevent an epidemic of disease.

 

What about the survivors? How do you treat the wounded—those suffering from radiation sickness? Every hospital that is left standing will be overwhelmed with the crush of the desperate and the dying. Whole cities will lay in absolute devastation. Millions will be without electricity or water.

How will the war turn out?—Winners and losers?

As we stated in our companion article, “World War II…just ahead,” the Euphrates River War must occur before the final three and one-half years that will immediately precede the battle of Armageddon. A picture of what the world will look like three and one-half years before Armageddon is given in Revelation 13:1-2. The passage describes a single beast that will be dominating the world. A beast in Bible prophecy always symbolizes a nation or an empire. The beast of Revelation 13 has the feet of a bear (Russia), the mouth of the lion (Great Britain), the body of the leopard (Germany), and the ten-horned beast (which represents a ten-nation alliance that will emerge out of Europe).

 

In a prophecy given in Daniel 7, the lion, the bear, the leopard, and the ten-horned beast were depicted as separate empires. In Revelation 13, they have all merged into one empire—the now-forming system of global governance.

 

It’s interesting that the eagle (the United States) is present in Daniel 7, but is not included in the Revelation 13 world government beast—as it will look after World War III. The burning question for all Americans is: “Why is the United States not included in the description of the world government as it will be after World War III?”

 

Will the US be destroyed in the war? Will we be weakened to the point that we are no longer able to play a significant role on the global stage? Or will Americans, after seeing the carnage produced by US military might, demand that the United States renounce its role as the world’s policeman and revert to the original American philosophy of avoiding entangling alliances?

 

What about China? China is not represented in the Revelation 13 world government prophecy either. Furthermore, in spite of China’s present importance on the world stage, there is no mention whatsoever of China in scripture after the Sixth Trumpet War. Every indicator points to the strong possibility that China will be utterly destroyed by the US in the war. This would account for 1.3 billion of the 2.2 billion that will be killed.

 

Then there’s Islam. There is no indication of Islam being a significant force in the prophesied world government of Revelation 13. Yet we are sure that Islam will be a central player in World War III. Since the powers of militant Islam are America’s number one enemy in the Euphrates River War, it appears certain that Islam will bear the brunt of America’s military might in the coming conflict. Islam will be terribly weakened as a global force, if not altogether destroyed.

Another prophecy—even more detail about the world government

In Revelation 17, there is another depiction of the seven-headed, ten-horned beast of Revelation 13. However, in Revelation 17 we are provided with a critical additional piece of information about the composition of the last-day world government.

 

In Revelation 17, there is a woman riding upon the back of the world government beast. A beast in Bible prophecy always symbolizes a nation or a kingdom. A woman in Bible prophecy always symbolizes a church. A virgin is used to represent the true church, while a harlot is used to depict a false church. The woman riding the world government beast in Revelation 17 is a harlot. This prophecy depicts the coming world government as an alliance between the global government and a powerful religious system.

 

Since its birth in 800 AD when Pope Leo III placed the crown on the head of Charlemagne pronouncing him emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, the Holy Roman Empire has been a union of politics and religion. The prophecies tell us that the Antichrist and the False Prophet will rule over a re-born Holy Roman Empire. The Holy Roman Empire was, in fact, reborn on November 3, 2009, when Europe ratified its first European Constitution and then proceeded to choose its first permanent president and its first permanent foreign minister on November 19, 2009.

We can clearly see that the world government after World War III will be an alliance between political power and religious power. The center for the political power will have swung back to Europe after the removal of China and the US as dominant players. The center of religious power will be Rome. All popes since Pope John XXIII have espoused a system of world government as necessary for peace, security and social justice. The papacy will lead both Catholicism and Protestantism into alliance with the system of global governance. However, the scriptures clearly teach that some Catholics and Protestants will refuse to follow their hierarchy into this apostasy and instead will become part of the great revival of truth that is prophesied for this time.

The Tony Blair Faith Foundation

In recent times, world leaders have become increasingly aware of the importance of religion in the establishment of the envisioned New World Order. Politicians now acknowledge that people are more loyal to their religious beliefs than they are to political ideologies. As a result, those wishing to build a system of global governance now embrace the reality that they must engage religion in their quest to establish the New World Order. This is the reason that world leaders, both Catholic and non-Catholic, are continually seen making the trek to Rome for a visit with the pope. They realize that the papacy is the most powerful single religious office in the world. Therefore, they feel they need the support of the office that represents one billion Roman Catholics worldwide.

 

Realizing the importance of religion in world affairs, Tony Blair met with Pope Benedict XVI in June of 2007 shortly before leaving the office of British prime minister. He then officially converted to Catholicism in December of 2007, shortly after resigning as prime minister.

 

Blair proceeded to establish the Tony Blair Faith Foundation in May of 2008. His stated goal was to foster understanding among the world’s religions and to help proponents of all religions to respect each other. Blair believes this is essential in order to avoid conflict among religions in this day when people are pulled ever closer together by the process of globalization.

 

To achieve the goal of Interfaith understanding, Blair has launched a course on “Faith and Globalization” in cooperation with Yale University. Blair now lectures at Yale for this course.

 

In addition to the Faith and Globalization course offered at Yale, Blair has now launched a global schools program called “Face to Faith.” Face to Faith became part of the Clinton Global Initiative in 2010 and plans to promote President Obama’s vision for a new beginning, which he launched between the United States and the Muslim world in his Cairo speech of 2009.

 

Face to Faith will be introduced into U.S. public and private schools at the start of the 2011 term in several states across the country including Utah, California, New York, Washington and Georgia. The program is accredited by the International Baccalaureate used in over 140 countries and by international examining body Cambridge Assessment. 

What should America do after World War III?

We cannot predict how badly the United States will be hit during the coming global conflict. We do know that China has intercontinental ballistic missiles that can carry nuclear warheads to every city in the United States. The Muslim extremists claim to have sleeper cells in major American cities that could unleash attacks upon major population centers. Former Vice President Dick Cheney stated that his worse nightmare was the possibility of a nuclear bomb being detonated by a terrorist in a major American city. Could the US lose 10 million during the coming war? 25 million? 50 million? We simply don’t know. We do know that America and the world will never again be the same.

 

Every member of the US Congress, as well as the president and the vice-president, is receiving this magazine explaining the prophecy about World War III. I don’t know how our leaders will react to this information. Many will possibly discount it as one more apocalyptic scenario conjured up by another religious fanatic. However, those among our leaders who still have a respect for the Bible as God’s word will consider this warning, but they will not be able to stop World War III from happening. However, after the war I hope that our leaders will remember this prophetic insight and will acquire a new reverence for the prophecies of the Bible and the accuracy of God’s word.

 

Knowing that the Antichrist and the False Prophet will rule the world from their powerbase in Europe, America should choose to opt out of further participation in the process of globalization. We should retain our nuclear deterrent so that the world governmental system cannot impose itself upon us, and we should become a haven of safety for those who wish to escape from the global tyranny that is prophesied to sweep over this world.

 

Could the understanding of the Bible’s prophecies become a guide to our national leaders? It has happened before. In the kingdom of the Medes and the Persians, King Cyrus was prophesied to build Israel’s second temple. When he was informed about the prophecy (probably by the Prophet Daniel), he commanded that the temple be rebuilt and provided the necessary funding to accomplish it.

 

Will America follow the course that I am describing? I don’t know for sure. There are some indications in the prophecies that it could happen. We know the eagle’s wings are not portrayed in the world government prophecy of Revelation 13:1-2. We also know for sure that the Antichrist and his world government will face resistance and will even be involved in wars by nations in opposition to him and his world government system.

 

We as Americans should do three things. First, we should humble ourselves before God in prayer, asking His forgiveness and His help. Secondly, we should spread the understanding of the Bible’s prophecies throughout the fabric of our society and especially to our leaders. Third, after the war we should insist that our leaders opt out of future involvement with the world government system and return our nation to the moral values that made the United States the greatest nation on earth.
